IAMRA Symposium 2019 Organizing Committee
IAMRA Symposium 2019 is organized by the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) and is co-hosted by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (ECFMG | FAIMER), and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME); collectively, the IAMRA Symposium 2019 Organizing Committee (“Organizing Committee”).
Event Registration and Attendance Policies
Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers
To request cancellation of your IAMRA Symposium 2019 registration, please email IAMRA2019@abms.org.
- Registration fees will be refunded less an administrative fee of US $50 if attendees notify the Organizing Committee before 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday, August 10, 2019.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations received on or after 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday, August 10, 2019.
- A full refund will be provided in the event that attendees contact the Organizing Committee at IAMRA2019@abms.org within 3 business days of being notified that they are unable to secure a visa.
Tickets may be transferred to another colleague if you are no longer able to attend. To do this, please email the Organizing Committee at IAMRA2019@abms.org by no later than Monday, September 2, 2019 with your name and the name of the colleague who will be attending in your place. If you haven’t emailed us to transfer the ticket, entry to the event may be refused. Please note that attendees are responsible for managing changes to their hotel reservations directly with the hotel.
Tickets must not be re-sold by you to any other person.
Right to Refuse Entry
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to IAMRA Symposium 2019. If entry is refused then the full ticket price will be refunded.
Symposium Program Subject to Change
While every effort will be made to ensure that the Symposium is delivered as advertised, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the venue, advertised speakers and program.
The Organizing Committee (“we” or “our”) does not collect personal information about you without your knowledge. If you choose to provide information on the IAMRA Symposium 2019 website, online registration platform, email, or other means through site registration, surveys or forms, that information becomes the property of the Organizing Committee. We do not resell or distribute any information about you to business partners or other organizations for their own marketing or sales use.
In some instances, the IAMRA Symposium 2019 Web server uses “cookies” to provide you with a better experience while visiting our site. Cookies are very small text files that are stored on the hard drive or browser of your computer or electronic device when you visit a website or application. If at any time you wish to unsubscribe from IAMRA Symposium 2019 communications, you may do so by logging onto your Symposium registration profile page and editing your profile or by sending an email to the Organizing Committee at IAMRA2019@abms.org.
Email addresses, cookies and aggregate information about which pages visitors access, and information volunteered by site visitors—such as user survey responses and site registrations—are used to improve the Content and Services of the website and the Symposium experience. Organizing Committee editorial, publishing and marketing staff also use website visitor data and usage information to assist in modifying, improving and maintaining Content and Services hereunder.
Social Media Policy
The Organizing Committee may use this site and its social media profiles to share helpful, interesting, and newsworthy information with other users. We welcome comments, ideas, and concerns. While we encourage our audiences to share thoughts and opinions on this site and our social media profiles, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner. The Organizing Committee asks that you not post comments that:
- Disclose personal health information
- Violate the intellectual property rights, confidentiality or privacy of another
- Include hate speech directed at race, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, religion or disability
- Use overly aggressive, obscene or profane language, photos or images
- Include statements that defame, harass, abuse, stalk, threaten or bully individuals or groups
- Include statements that are illegal or encourage unlawful conduct
- Promote services, products or political organizations
- Are off-topic from the specific content of the post
- Are irrelevant spam
Members of the Organizing Committee reserve the right to review and remove comments that do not comply with these guidelines and to block offenders of these guidelines.

Indemnification of the Organizing Committee by User
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Organizing Committee, its third-party vendors, member medical specialty boards, corporate parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and their respective board members, directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all claims and demands, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and litigation expenses, made by any third party due to or arising out of any content, submitted, posted, or otherwise provided by you to the website and/or the Organizing Committee and/or its third party advertisers, or any breach by you or your affiliates, employees, agents and representatives of these policies.
Organizing Committee Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the Organizing Committee, its third-party vendors, member medical specialty boards, corporate parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages or any damages whatsoever including, without limitation, damages for loss of use, data or profits, arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of the website, with the delay or inability to access or use the website or related Services, the provision of or failure to provide services, or for any content, software, products and services made available or obtained through the website, or otherwise arising out of the use of the website, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, even if the Organizing Committee has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Any services or content made available or obtained through the use of the website, and all other use of the website is done at your own discretion and risk and you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results therefrom.
